Welcome to the ECMS website. Two viewing options are availalbe, either as a ECMS Guest or Administrator.

ECMS GUEST:
Limited functionality is available to the ECMS guest. The homepage will provide this guest with an overview of the ECMS objectives and includes a high level view of recent Enforcement actions that have taken place across all sectors and provinces.

As a guest, you will also be permitted to access the SPATIAL VIEWER.
This option will redirect the user to GME website, where the user can browse several water services related data themes.
These include, Demography, Access to Basic Services (Water/Sanitation), WS Infrastructure, Water Resources and WS Programmes to mention but a few. Full spatial (Google Earth) functionality is available.

ECMS ADMINISTRATOR:
To view details of Enforcement actions and/or to register new enforcement cases, or work on existing enforcement cases, you will require administrative access and permissions.
The logged in administrator, dependent on the permissions assigned will be permitted to:
* Register New Users and assign permissions (Head Office Administrator only)
* Register New Enforcement cases
* Assign cases to the relevant Case Manager
* Create and assign Tasks within a Case to relevant officials
* View Reports

About ECMS

ECMS is a centralized system that enables the electronic management and processing of case related information. ECMS is utilised as an electronic solution for management of non-compliance cases reported to ensure necessary rectification measures are instituted against suspected offenders from the moment they are reported to the time of resolution phase. The system is aimed at improving operational efficiency and compliance to administrative enforcement, civil and criminal requirements.

However, the lives and livelihoods of many people and communities are put at risk by those that destroy our natural resources, harm our health, and compromise the ecological integrity of our environment.
